1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how JEMS Marine, LLC (“JEMS Marine,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Maryland limited liability company, handles information in connection with theONE Vessel Command Center (“theONE” or the “app”), an iOS application currently in private beta and scheduled to launch in Summer 2026. By using theONE, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information. Your email address and name when you request access or create an account.
• Vessel data you enter. Information you choose to add, such as vessel specifications, crew details, maintenance records, and playbooks.
• Telemetry and NMEA data. Data captured on-device from your vessel's NMEA 2000 network, such as engine hours, fuel burn, depth, temperatures, voltages, and tank levels.
• App analytics. Usage and diagnostic information collected through PostHog to understand how the app is used.
• Device information. Technical details such as device model, operating system version, and app version.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate, maintain, and provide the features of theONE.
• Sync your data across your devices.
• Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
• Improve and develop the product.
• Maintain the security and integrity of the app.
• Send you required service-related communications.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers. With vendors who help us operate the app, such as analytics and cloud sync providers, under obligations to protect your information.
• Legal requirements. When required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide theONE to you. Because the app is offline-first, much of your vessel and telemetry data lives on your device and remains under your control. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify the personal information we hold within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations.

6. Security

We use encryption in transit and apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. theONE is built offline-first, so much of your data stays on your device and syncs only when you have a connection. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request:

• Access. A copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correction. Updates to inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Deletion. Removal of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.

To exercise these rights, email privacy@jems-marine.com. Where applicable, you may also opt out of analytics collection.

8. Children's Privacy

theONE is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. International Users

theONE is operated from the United States, and NOAA-backed weather, tides, and charts cover US coastal waters. If you access the app from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed and stored in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. theONE is currently in private beta; features may change and beta data may be reset before general availability.
